Match Preview: Manchester United vs AS Roma

Manchester United are to play the second match of their pre-season tour against Italian side AS Roma. Manchester United should be brimming with confidence with their impressive 7-0 victory over LA Galaxy. However Roma got their tour to an flying start as well beating United’s rivals Liverpool 1-0 after a late own goal.

Roma have been busy in this transfer market as they strengthen their team for next season, including signing Ashley Cole from Chelsea. Also seemingly holding on to the services of Mehdi Benatia is a huge boost for them.

Louis Van Gaal will be looking to continue as United started with a dominant performance against the men from Rome. Also New signings Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw will still be looking to impress the boss and the fans, with Shaw in particular having something to prove.

Score Prediction

AS Roma 0-2 Manchester United

Taking into consideration Roma haven’t got much going forward and United’s goal-fest against LA Galaxy I think the reds can win comfortably against Roma.
