Match Preview: Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United play host to a stern Crystal Palace side this afternoon, in a game where three points is a must if they want any hope of proving to the footballing world that a spot in the top four is an achievable goal. Although the season is young, we need to start climbing up that table and not let the likes of Arsenal and Southampton get out of reach.

Team news

Manchester United are without a whole host of players through injury. Radamel Falcao will sit this one out once again, as will Rafael da Silva. The game comes too soon for Phil Jones and Jonny Evans who should be back after the international break. Marcos Rojo has a dislocated shoulder and Chris Smalling is suspended.

Last meeting: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester United

Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney provided the goals, in a game which saw a lot of controversy surrounding Eric Cantona masks.

Score prediction: I fancy United to win, and comfortably so. Whatever XI we put out should be strong enough to beat Palace at home, so I’ll go for a 3-0 win.
