Match Preview: Manchester United vs Zorya Luhansk

Manchester United have been playing well over the last few games which must be great to see for Jose Mourinho, particularly after a bad spell. Later today, his side take on Zorya Luhansk for the first competitive meeting between the sides in their history.

Date: 29th September 2016
Venue: Old Trafford
Time: 20:05 BST
Referee: Orel Grinfeeld

Zorya kicked off their group with an impressive draw at home to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, whereas we all know what happened with United. This is a game that United have to win if we are to top the group, and we should have more than enough firepower to do so.

Team News

The manager has confirmed the bad news that Luke Shaw has picked up an illness and will not feature. Although Henrikh Mkhitaryan is back in training, he’ll sit this one out as well. There is doubts about Wayne Rooney’s fitness, and Jose has already said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be starting up front.

Score Prediction: Manchester United 4-0 Zorya Luhansk.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the big guns will play, and I fully expect them to put Zorya to the sword. We’re already down three points in this competition and we have to put it right here and send out a strong statement to the rest of our group.
