United go into this with a few injury doubts. Defensive duo Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand both missed training yesterday, whereas Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley also missed training yesterday, but were expected to take part this morning. The long-term casualty Darren Fletcher took part in full training this week, but isn’t expected to feature tonight.
Our visitors have been boosted by club captain Xabier Prieto returning to full fitness. Although they have a long-term injury to Esteban Granero who is formerly of Real Madrid and QPR – the midfielder suffered ligament damage back in September and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Sociedad come here with no fear. Although they haven’t yet earned a Champions League point this season, they’ll still pose a massive threat. Carlos Vela and Antoine Griezmann are both in fine form, and will surely test our wing-backs. You just have to look at their demolition of Lyon to see how good this side actually is, so United will have to bring their A-game.
Score Prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Real Sociedad
I feel like i’m saying this every week now, but United have to win this one. So far we’ve looked pretty good in the Champions League, and if we play to our capabilities we should win this comfortably. I fancy Rooney and Hernandez to score in a 2-1 win.
Haha ha ha….
