Manchester United now have nothing left to fight for domestically but pride. The title was long-gone before Christmas, and any hopes of the top four diminished last weekend after a heavy loss at home to local rivals Liverpool. In fact, all thats left to play for is European glory, and we’ve been drawn against Bayern Munich…
United sit seventh in the table, whereas this evenings opponents West Ham sit in a very respectable twelfth place. Sam Allardyce’s side have found some form of late that has propelled them up the table quite dramatically, despite losing their last two games to Everton and Stoke City.

Form Guide
In the league form guide, West Ham sit fourth having amassed 12 points from their last six games, whereas United sit in mid table having collected eight points. That in itself is worrying for the Old Trafford Faithful, as teams like Stoke, West Ham, and Southampton have all collected more points than us over recent weeks.
Last six in the league:
West Ham: WWWWLL – 12 points.
United: LDDWWL – 8 points.
Last meeting
United 3-1 West Ham
The league meeting at Old Trafford earlier in the season was one of the rare occasions where the crowd were treated to a good result at home. Goals from Young, Welbeck and Januzaj sealed the win in a game where Wayne Rooney controlled the match throughout.
Injury news
We’ll start with the news that Robin van Persie has been ruled out with a sprained knee, an injury that’ll keep him sidelined for at least a month which is a huge blow. Antonio Valencia could play after picking up an injury on his eye, and Nemanja Vidic is banned for picking up a red card against Liverpool. Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling could return, but both are expected to sit this one out.
