Manchester United got off to a flying start last weekend. For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players, it’s now about following that up.
Wolverhampton Wanderers proved to be our Achilles Heel last term. They beat us twice on their home turf, 2-1 both times. United need to show a considerable improvement from both those performances that cost us our place in the top four and FA Cup respectively.
This United team works harder. They want to fight for the badge. They want to win for each other. The defence is sterner though an argument can be made that we’re weaker in midfield. It’ll be intriguing to see how this one plays out…
TV Channel: Sky Sports.
Stadium: Molineux Stadium.
Referee: Jon Moss.
Nuno Espirito Santo is an excellent manager who shouldn’t be undermined and overlooked. Solskjaer has his work cut out. Does he match their system? Does United stick to what worked last time out? It’s a fine balancing act.
Team News
The only long-term absentee is Eric Bailly. Aside from that, the Baby Faced Assassin does have a fully fit squad to choose from. The game probably comes just too soon for Alexis Sanchez who is still some way behind the squad in terms of fitness.
We should see Paul Pogba, David de Gea, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and the usual customers. Though I do think we could see Mason Greenwood come into the side. Perhaps Fred, too…

Match Betting
I actually wasn’t sure we’d be favourites in this one but we are. United fetch in odds of 13/10 while Wolves sit at 21/10. It’s close but the visitors just edge it – which I find interesting.
A bet I love at this stage is both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to score. At 10/1, it’s worth the punt (in our opinion anyway).
Match Prediction: Wolves 0-1 Manchester United.
We’re going for a narrow away victory. A scruffy goal from a corner or a VAR decision in our favour will do nicely. Any sort of win actually moves United to the top of the table on goal difference!
