At just 17 years of age, Norwegian midfielder Mats Daehli earned his first U21 cap as his side took on Russia’s U21s. Norway ran out 2-1 winners with Mats coming on as a second half substitute and impressed, showing some slick passing and skill. He is certainly one to keep an eye on for the future.
He joined United back in 2011 and has represented Norway at U15, U16 and now U21 levels and he made his debut for the United reserves since. He also won the jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award.
