Manchester United struggled against Arsenal yesterday, with Louis van Gaal’s side succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of a very talented side. One player who was largely disappointing was Matteo Darmian, with the Italian having his worst game in the red shirt.
Before the game, the Italian was being interviewed, when he was quizzed about who he hangs around with off the football field:
Matteo Darmian: “I hang around with the Spanish group, De Gea, Mata, Herrera, but I also bonded well with Blind.”
It seems as though the most likeable members of the dressing room are the Spanish contingent. They seem to always be smiling and up for a laugh, so it makes sense that Darmian has settled in nicely with those guys. Perhaps after a performance like that yesterday, they’ll be able to offer him some comfort!
