Manchester United have welcomed back both Alex Telles and Scott McTominay to the AON Training Complex.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been consistently dealing with injured players to start this season – which is obviously far from ideal.
The Baby Faced Assassin has coped well, winning three and drawing one of our first four league games. Well today, I’m pleased to report that those problems are now beginning to ease.
In his usual pre-match presser, Solskjaer would confirm a double boost, with the key pair of Scott McTominay and Alex Telles back in training following their own injury issues.
Check out what the gaffer had to say here:
“Scott and Alex have joined in training this morning fully. They look good,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.
“Of course we need to have them go through a few sessions before we can consider if they’re going to be available.”
McTominay recently had surgery following an injury he’d pick up a few weeks ago, though the good news was that the operation was only a minor one and he’s now back out there putting in the work.
Telles’ issue was a bit more serious. He’s missed a few months of action after undergoing surgery too, but now the Brazilian is back out on the grass and working his way up to speed.
Understandably, it’s going to take the left-back a little longer to get back out on the Old Trafford turf as he’s had no pre-season whatsoever – and way behind his teammates in terms of match sharpness.
Either way, it’s nice for Solskjaer to have some extra options in terms of team selection and changing things up tactically.
As the boss says, they need to get a few training sessions under their belt before they’re even considered for competitive action. It’s good to hear they’re back out there, though.
Can these guys play their part for Man United this season? Are they good enough? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
