Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is a fitness doubt for the game against Fulham today. The 32-year old will be assessed this morning after missing United’s 4-0 Capital One Cup victory over Norwich as David Moyes rung the changes. Carrick has started every league game at the hear of our midfield, and would be a major blow if he doesn’t make the game.
When Carrick doesn’t play we generally play much poorer as a result. He’s the best midfielder at the club by a country mile at the moment, and his absence would certainly make our task much harder against a potentially tricky Fulham side.
David Moyes told MUTV:
“Michael’s got a bit of a problem with his calf and Achilles, but we don’t think he is too bad.”
Hopefully Michael will be able to play today as we’ll certainly need him.
