Michael Olise would prefer to move to Man United over Chelsea this summer, if the two clubs made official bids for the winger.
Manchester United Football Club still need further signings in order to continue to improve this current playing squad. The Old Trafford side, managed by Erik ten Hag, are looking to return to past glories with INEOS now in control of footballing operations.
Among the areas of big concern is right wing. Antony isn’t doing the business. Jadon Sancho is no longer here. Both Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford are better on the left.
One name linked with filling that void in the past was Michael Olise. The Crystal Palace winger, who spent the first few months of this season out injured, has been proving his qualities since returning to the fold.
Now, Football.London has provided an update on that front – and it’s good news for the 20-time Premier League champions.
According to their latest information, the 22-year-old Premier League attacker ‘would favour’ a move to United if an offer comes in this summer, as opposed to Chelsea, who are also keen on signing the wide man.
Apparently, Olise has always been an ‘avid’ supporter of the Red Devils, while he is aware of interest from both Chelsea and United. It is widely expected he will leave Selhurst Park at the end of this season.
Chelsea actually firmed up their interest in Olise with a £35m bid last summer, before the player decided to sign a new deal at Crystal Palace. That transfer fee is now going to rise significantly when this summer rolls around.
Olise would be a stunning signing. There’s no doubt he’d solve our issues in that area of the field due to his sheer quality. It stinks of an INEOS signing, bringing in an Englishman who can help move this side forward.
United are said to be keeping a ‘very close eye’ on Olise and no doubt they’re ready to make a move and look to gazump Chelsea to his signature this coming summer.
