Manchester United and Jose Mourinho could have already gotten one over on the Special One’s former club, with reports saying that Radja Nainggolan has rejected a move to Stamford Bridge. However, he would be willing to move to Old Trafford.
The Belgian powerhouse has been impressing out in the Serie A with AS Roma for a few years now, but no club has offered enough money to prise him away.
That may be about to change this summer, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who says that Chelsea had a £27million bid for Nainggolan rejected last week.
Manchester United’s midfield certainly needs some working on. The likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin didn’t do anywhere near enough to prove their worth, and Michael Carrick is now one year older.
Jose Mourinho has this way of persuading his transfer targets to join the club he manages with or without Champions League football, and you just get the feeling that something big could be brewing at the Theatre of Dreams.
