Jose Mourinho. A world-class manager whose time in England has been decorated with domestic trophies. That was until he took charge at Manchester United…
Things haven’t quite gone according to plan so far, although Mourinho still wants to carry on as manager. That’s according to The Times, who also add that the self-proclaimed Special One isn’t happy with the United board, after feeling that he isn’t being fully backed.
The report comes just a day after opposing media outlets suggesting that Mourinho is still being fully backed by The Glazers, so at this point I’m not quite sure who to believe.
One thing is for certain, United are struggling. Whether that be down to Mourinho, or the players lacking in confidence, that remains to be seen. However, when your coach is falling out with star players like Paul Pogba, that only spells trouble.
We’ve seen this situation unfold before. Mourinho always tends to be involved in some sort of major fallout during his third season. Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard to name a couple…
Unfortunately, the story always ends the same way. Mourinho ends up losing his job and being out of a job. The only difference is that at all the other clubs, a top-flight league title has been won. I guess we drew the short straw.
