Jose Mourinho is that confident he can seal a deal for Pogba, he turned down a move to bring in Miralem Pjanic. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who say that Manchester United were interested in the AS Roma man, but allowed him to go to Juventus instead.
This seems like a huge gamble. Miralem Pjanic is one of the most underrated box-to-box midfielders in the game, and at 26 he was approaching his peak years.
What happens if Paul Pogba suddenly becomes unavailable? Due to the likes of Real Madrid showing a clear interest in him – that leaves us having to look elsewhere.
However, it could be a bit of a tactical move to let Pjanic go to Juventus, because that means the Serie A side will have to part with a midfielder to fit him into the team – that man may be Paul Pogba.
In terms of his style of play, there aren’t many better than Paul Pogba on the planet at the moment. He’d be suited to Manchester United brilliantly, and he is something that the club have been crying out for.
