Moyes and Fellaini thoroughly impress in Manchester United’s pre-match press conference

Marouane Fellaini was officially introduced to the Old Trafford faithful as a Manchester United player this afternoon in a pre-match press conference alongside David Moyes. Both thoroughly impressed, Fellaini sounded overjoyed to be at the club, and hungry to win silverware. Moyes looks more calm in the role now, and you feel he’s getting used to being under the spotlight.

Most of the medias questions were about Fellaini’s arrival, and the big Belgian replied:

“For me its a dream, Manchester United is the biggest club in the world, I need to work hard for my place as there are a lot of good players at this club.”

He was then asked about his favourite position, and jokingly he said:

“Ask the manager, but I prefer to play in defensive midfield.”

To which Moyes responded:

“Marouane can play in many different roles and I needed that. Fellaini’s character has improved incredibly. He has always been focused and always does what is asked of him”

The new boss then went onto say that Fellaini was ‘desperate’ to join the club, although the player wouldn’t admit it in front of you (the media).

Overall, Marouane Fellaini seems like a very humble man, he went on to thank Everton for what they have done for his career, but admitted that a move to Manchester United was ‘too good to turn down’.

He then went onto say that he will work hard, and he’ll do all his talking on the field:

“I’ll show (my worth) on the pitch. I will work hard to be a legend at Manchester United”

United fans will be encouraged that David Moyes said that “Marouane will be involved very quickly”, meaning that he could be handed his Manchester United debut at home to Crystal Palace tomorrow.
