Moyes confirms Fabregas bid

United take on the A-League all-stars tomorrow morning UK time, and ahead of that game Moyes was speaking to the press. He still remains adamant that Wayne Rooney will be a United player come the new season, he also admitted that we’re still in talks to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.

Its still unclear as to whether Fabregas would be willing to leave his boyhood club to return to the Premier League. However United must be confident as we’re making this transfer public knowledge.

Moyes said:

“As far as players are concerned, we’re looking to bring some in and we’re working hard to do that.

“We’re trying very hard to make some additions to the squad and hopefully we’ll have some good news in the not too distance future.”

Moyes on Fabregas: “I couldn’t tell you exactly where we are with that, but I will hopefully know a little bit more in the next day.

“I might have a little bit more information about how it’s going.”

Ed Woodward flew home on Wednesday evening to see to ‘urgent transfer business’ and its widely believed the Vice Chairman is trying to thrash out a deal for the 26-year old.
