Moyes confirms Fabregas talks are ongoing

United take on Shinji Kagawa’s old side Cerezo Osaka tomorrow morning (UK time) and new boss David Moyes addressed the media ahead of that game. The topic on everyones mind was that of Cesc Fabregas, and when asked about the Spaniard, Moyes simply replied “Things are ongoing”.

Fabregas still hasn’t returned to pre-season training due to his participation in the Confederations Cup, and this is probably a good thing for us as his Barca teammates cannot influence his decision. Although new Barca boss Gerardo Martino is reportedly an admirer of Fabregas’ and wants to make him a key member of the squad this season.

Moyes also addressed the injury concerns of our strike duo of Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie, both of which have been passed fit to play some part tomorrow.
