Moyes tells Everton to let duo go

New United boss David Moyes, has told his old Everton side to allow Leighton Baines and Maroune Fellaini to join Manchester United, the Mail claims. The tabloid go on to suggest that a move for the pair would be a good progression for their careers, but Everton certainly won’t be looking to sell in a hurry.

Roberto Martinez labelled United’s £28m opening bid as ‘derisory and insulting’ on Monday, and it is widely expected that the Old Trafford club will go back in with a higher bid.

Everton take on West Brom at 3pm BST today, and a lot will be revealed when the team sheets are released. If either of the pair don’t start for the Merseyside club, it’d suggest that they are certainly interested in a move away. However if they start, it suggests they are unfazed by the speculation and are happy to stay at Everton. Of course it also depends if United do actually go back and make another bid.

Moyes has eleven days left do to some business, so he needs to act quick.
