David de Gea – Didn’t really have an awful lot to do. Couldn’t do anything to stop the Ayling thunder-strike. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Top defensively. Tried to get forward where possible. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Outstanding. Played some sumptuous balls forward, including one for Bruno to complete his hat-trick. Stern at the back. 8/10
Harry Maguire – Led by example and set the tone. Played a couple of sloppy balls forward but on the whole, he was great. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Bombed up and down the wing all game. Tried to make things happen throughout. 6/10
Scott McTominay – Superb. Did the dirty work and played some incisive passes forward. An underrated performance. 7/10
Fred – Scored a well-worked goal to put the icing on the cake. He was his usual busy self. 7/10
Bruno Fernandes – What else is there left to say about this man? He’s the best player in the country, who just scored an insane hat-trick against a top-class side. Outstanding. 10/10
Paul Pogba – Four assists! FOUR! He was all over Leeds United from the first minute and he single-handedly controlled this game at times. Unplayable. 9/10
Daniel James – Was his usual busy self. Worked hard to get into some great positions. 6/10
Mason Greenwood – Sharp. Made some penetrating runs forward, got into some menacing positions and was finally rewarded as he scored a superb goal to make it 2-1. 8/10
Subs:
Nemanja Matic – Helped see the game out.
Jadon Sancho – Wonderful to see him out there in United colours.
Anthony Martial – Looked in good knick considering he’s not played in five months.
