David de Gea – Didn’t really have many saves to make. In fact had a quiet evening, aside from picking the ball out of his net. 5/10

Diogo Dalot – Looked bright in the first 30 minutes or so when United were on top. Fizzled out. 5/10

Harry Maguire – Pretty solid. Defended well. Won his headers. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Looked alright in the first 45 as a centre-back. Not as composed when switched to the right-back role for the second half. 5/10

Tyrell Malacia – Always bombed forward wherever possible, but that final ball or pass was lacking. 6/10

CasemiroDidn’t show us an awful lot. A kind of sluggish display from the Brazilian. 4/10

Christian Eriksen – At the heart of everything good about United’s play in that first 45. Deservedly subbed at half-time so he can get some rest. 7/10

Fred – Not his finest hour. Sloppy passing and didn’t really justify starting in that number 10 role. 4/10

Antony – Not as sharp this evening. Had a couple of half-chances but didn’t really get into the game. 5/10

Anthony Elanga – Probably United’s most promising attacker. He looked to have his marker on the back-foot for most of the game. 6/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – He looked every bit a 37-year-old tonight. Sluggish. Heavy touches. Flagged offside on multiple occasions. 3/10

Subs:

Lisandro Martinez – Looked good when he came on. Unfairly adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Bruno Fernandes – Created just the one opportunity.

Alejandro Garnacho – Nice to see him out there for the first time since pre-season.

Jadon Sancho – Didn’t get into it.

Charlie McNeill – Given his debut.
