MUFC Player Ratings during 1-0 loss vs Wolves (Premier League home, 2021/22)

David de Gea – Made a couple of smart saves to keep Wolves at bay, but couldn’t do anything about the late goal. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Was given space and time to bring the ball forward but the quality was lacking. His passing was wayward throughout. 4/10

Phil Jones – He can hold his head high. Won tackles, made blocks and interceptions and was good in the air. Also progressive with the ball at his feet. 7/10

Raphael Varane – Pretty steady. Won his headers and tried to move the ball forward. 6/10

Luke Shaw – A non-factor offensively. Couldn’t get forward at all. Also picked up a booking meaning he’ll miss our next game. 4/10

Nemanja Matic – Cruised through the game in a far too relaxed manner. Was bypassed on numerous occasions with ease. 4/10

Scott McTominay – After a stunning game last time, he was borderline dreadful here. Just couldn’t get anything going on both sides of the ball. 3/10

Mason Greenwood – Probably United’s best attacker, though the bar was incredibly low. Unfortunate to be subbed off. 5/10

Jadon Sancho – Took too many heavy touches and overran the ball multiple times when United were trying to attack. This formation is all wrong for him. 4/10

Edinson Cavani – I forgot he was playing at times. The team just couldn’t get the ball to him in any kind of attacking position. 3/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – Wore the captain’s armband but definitely didn’t set the leaders example. He was an absolute non-factor. 3/10
