David de Gea – Had a quiet first half. Couldn’t do anything about the Burnley leveller.
Diogo Dalot – Looked bright going forward. Always offered himself as an out-ball for the midfield. 6/10
Raphael Varane – Had a perfectly good goal chalked off in the early-going. Wasn’t really tested defensively. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Got outfought for the Rodriguez goal. He has to do better 5/10
Luke Shaw – Had a storming first half, bombing up and down the flank all game. Did play his man onside for their equaliser, though. 5/10
Paul Pogba – United’s best player on the day? Probably. Was involved in everything good about our play. Scored a lovely goal to give us the lead. 8/10
Scott McTominay – Mopped up when needed and protected the back four relatively well. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Always trying to make things happen. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. That’s just the nature of his game. 6/10
Jadon Sancho – Looked sharp. The link-up play, with Pogba in particular, was impressive. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Was hit and miss. Played his part in the goal but made the wrong decision at the vital moment on more than one occasion. 5/10
Edinson Cavani – Drifted in and out of things. Should have scored a header from point-blank range, though. 4/10
Subs:
Cristiano Ronaldo – Had a couple of half-decent chances with a headers.
Jesse Lingard – Not enough time to mark.
Anthony Elanga – Not enough time to mark.
