MUFC Player Ratings during 1-1 draw vs Chelsea (Premier League home, 2021/22)

David de Gea – Made a couple of comfortable saves. That was about it. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – He was average at best. Positionally unaware at times as he was often caught too far forward. 4/10

Victor Lindelof – Put his head on everything. Had a good game alongside Varane. 6/10

Raphael Varane – He was better than last time out. Good in the air. Positionally excellent, though wasn’t helped by his left-back… 6/10

Alex Telles – Just a disaster defensively. Often caught out of position and didn’t ever look comfortable against James. 3/10

Nemanja Matic – Had a good outing. Won the midfield battle almost single-handedly at times. His experience proved crucial. 7/10

Scott McTominay – Just okay. Had some good moments where he got United playing on the front foot, but sometimes went completely missing. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – Tried to make things happen but that final ball was often misplaced. His poor form continued. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – Again, just didn’t look all that interested in putting the graft in. Worrying. 3/10

Anthony Elanga – Fought and fought as much as possible. Always tried to make things happen. He did at least try, though. 6/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – The shining light again. It was his moment of brilliance that dragged United back level. One of the harder working players in the XI, too. 7/10

Subs:

Juan Mata – Looked better the moment he came on.

Phil Jones – Did ok.

Alejandro Garnacho – Nice to see him make his full debut.
