MUFC Player Ratings during 1-1 draw vs Young Boys

Dean Henderson – Couldn’t do anything about the goal. Had a largely quiet evening aside from that. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – I’m starting to get worried about Wan-Bissaka. He was very, very poor tonight and his place in the side in the long-term is under serious threat. 3/10

Eric Bailly – Made a crucial block in the second half. Had a pretty decent game. 5/10

Nemanja Matic – Had the pleasure of captaining United for the first time. Set the right example. 5/10

Luke Shaw – Got caught a few times and was involved in the mix-up for the goal. Nice to see him back after missing the last few games though. 4/10

Donny van de Beek – Was careless in possession on more than one occasion – and it led to a goal being conceded. Showed some nice flicks and tricks. 4/10

Jesse Lingard – He really struggled to get into the game. 4/10

Juan Mata – His intelligence and passing range was on full display at times, but his legs have completely gone. 5/10

Anthony Elanga – Missed a pretty big opportunity in the second half but it was super to see him out there. 5/10

Amad Diallo – His first Champions League start. There were a few errant passes but grew into the game and looked a threat at times. 5/10

Mason Greenwood – Looked super sharp on his first start in ages. Scored an outrageous goal to give his side the lead. 7/10

Subs:

Teden Mengi – Slipped to give Young Boys a chance but made an unbelievable recovery block.

Shola Shoretire – Worked hard and tried to make things happen.

Tom Heaton – It felt like a weird sub at the time but nice to see him make his debut.

Zidane Iqbal – Nice to see him given a debut.

Charlie Savage – Nice to see him given a debut.
