David de Gea – Made some crucial saves, as per usual. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Tried to get forward but the final delivery was often lacking. 5/10
Victor Lindelof – Looked pretty steady in the absence of Raphael Varane. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Did ok for the most part. I’d still like to see more from him in a leadership sense, though. 5/10
Luke Shaw – A carbon copy to Dalot’s display. Was willing to drive on when given the chance, but couldn’t pick the right pass. 5/10
Fred – Dire. We’re just a worse side with him in the team. His passing and decision-making was awful. 3/10
Scott McTominay – A bystander for the most part. He needs to find that consistency if he wants to go right to the top. 4/10
Bruno Fernandes – Tried to make things happen and played some wonderful balls into threatening areas. Sealed the three points deep into injury time. 7/10
Anthony Elanga – That rashness of youth let him down on more than one occasion, but it was nice to see him in the side. 4/10
Jadon Sancho – Was involved in some nice moments but again, you’d like to see more from him. 5/10
Cristiano Ronaldo – Scored the only goal of the game with a fantastic strike from outside the box. Probably should’ve had a hat-trick. 6/10
Subs:
Paul Pogba – Kept it simple but picked up an assist for the Fernandes goal.
Marcus Rashford – Not enough time to make a big impact on the game.
Alex Telles – Not enough time to make a big impact on the game.
