MUFC Player Ratings during 2-2 draw vs Atalanta (Champions League away, 2021/22)

David de Gea – His error for the opener was a howler. Had a quiet night aside from that. 3/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Tried to get forward wherever possible. His delivery was inconsistent. 6/10

Eric Bailly – Outstanding given the circumstances. Has barely played and looked comfortably like our best defender on the night. He won everything. 8/10

Raphael Varane – Started well as you’d expect, though subbed of in the first-half with an injury… 5/10

Harry Maguire – Shaky at best in that second 45. Gave away a goal and nearly gave away another one. 3/10

Luke Shaw – Steady at best. Didn’t bomb on as much as we needed. But solid enough defensively. 5/10

Scott McTominay – Not his finest outing. Worked hard enough but it wasn’t an intelligent display from the Scotland international. 4/10

Paul Pogba – Just didn’t look interested. Gave it away time and time again. Didn’t work hard enough. Very, very sloppy. 2/10

Bruno Fernandes – Involved in a lovely piece of play to get United on the scoreboard. Worked hard too. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Looked sharp early, but quickly faded. Didn’t really get a chance to work the goalkeeper. 4/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – In the first half, he looked like the only player willing to work hard and put the pressure on. His first goal was sublime. His second was out of this world. 9/10

Subs:

Mason Greenwood – Didn’t really get into the game as much as we’d have liked. 5/10

Nemanja Matic – Steady.

Edinson Cavani – Brought his usual energy.

Donny van de Beek – I genuinely forgot what he looked like it has been that long since we’ve seen him.

Jadon Sancho – Nice to see him out there.
