MUFC Player Ratings during 3-1 loss vs Arsenal

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about any of the goals. Made some good saves. 5/10

Diogo Dalot – Culpable defensively throughout. Hit the post twice. 4/10

Victor Lindelof – Didn’t actually have a bad afternoon from a personal point of view, though he never fills me with confidence. 5/10

Raphael Varane – At fault for the first goal as he swung a foot at it rashly. Hasn’t been in the best form over last few months. 3/10

Alex Telles – Just a mess defensively. Positionally awful throughout and didn’t make up for it in an attacking capacity. 3/10

Nemanja Matic – Too old to be playing more than once a week. The Arsenal midfield ran rings around him. 4/10

Scott McTominay – We have missed his energy and intensity but just looked a little off it this afternoon. 4/10

Bruno Fernandes – Probably cost us the game. Missed a great chance in the first half, missed his penalty then it was his heavy touch that allowed Arsenal to make it three. 2/10

Anthony Elanga – Made some lovely runs forward. Was fouled on more than one occasion and it wasn’t given. 5/10

Jadon Sancho – Sharp. Beat his man several times in the one-on-one. 6/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – Played brilliantly from minute one. Looked completely up for it and scored a lovely goal. Just wasn’t helped much by his teammates. 7/10

Subs:

Jesse Lingard – Not enough time to mark.

Marcus Rashford – Not enough time to mark.

Juan Mata – Not enough time to mark.
