David de Gea – Kept us in the game at times. Made some unreal saves. 7/10
Diogo Dalot – Very impressive on both sides of the ball. Defended diligently for the most part and tried to get forward. 7/10
Victor Lindelof – Had a good outing against a genuine threat like Toney. 6/10
Raphael Varane – Dealt with most things that came his way. I’d like to see him be a little more vocal, though. 6/10
Alex Telles – Got caught out positionally on a few occasions. His final ball was hit and miss. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Nice to see him back out there. Was steady defensively but always played the right ball forward. Set the right tone and was probably our best player. 8/10
Fred – Played another lovely ball into the box which led to a goal. Worked hard. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Unselfishly laid it onto Greenwood for a tap-in to make it two. Picked up another assist as he set up Rashford. Looks back to his best. 7/10
Mason Greenwood – Scored the second with an easy finish. Drifted in and out of the game. 5/10
Anthony Elanga – Such a young man deserves credit for setting the example like he did. Deserved his goal – which he took very well. 7/10
Cristiano Ronaldo – Led the line pretty well and was involved in the glorious second goal. Didn’t look too pleased at being subbed off, mind. 6/10
Subs:
Marcus Rashford – Scored with almost his first touch. A lovely finish, too.
Harry Maguire – Nice to see him back out there following injury.
