MUFC Player Ratings during 3-1 win vs Burnley (Premier League home, 2021/22)

David de Gea – Had a quiet evening when all was said and done. Couldn’t do anything about the Lennon goal. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Was stern enough defensively. Didn’t really contribute too much in an attacking sense. 5/10

Eric Bailly – Had a relatively quiet evening, but dealt with everything that came his way. Subbed off with injury. 5/10

Harry Maguire – I have to be honest, I’m getting worried about Maguire’s form. There were another couple of nervous moments for the United captain on the night. 5/10

Luke Shaw – Back to his best. Defended with purpose and bombed forward all night long. 7/10

Scott McTominay – Just outstanding. Passed the ball well, wasn’t afraid to run at the Burnley defence and scored a sublime goal. Would have had a hat-trick if not for a couple of smart saves. 8/10

Nemanja Matic – Cruised through the game. Didn’t really have to do too much defending but mopped up well. 5/10

Jadon Sancho – Looked sharp and always tried to make things happen. Scored the second with a lovely finish after a purposeful run. 7/10

Mason Greenwood – Had a couple of half-chances and stretched the Burnley defenders with his pace. 5/10

Edinson Cavani – Worked tirelessly as per usual but only had one genuine scoring opportunity. 5/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – Looked up for it from minute one. Missed a golden chance early but grabbed an assist before scoring one of his own. 7/10

Subs:

Raphael Varane – Steady enough.

Diogo Dalot – Brought on to help see the game out.

Fred – Not enough time to mark.
