MUFC Player Ratings during 4-0 loss vs Liverpool

David de Gea – Was a bystander for the most part, aside from picking the ball out of his net four times… 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Positionally bad throughout. Was given a tough time down his side defensively and didn’t get forward enough. 3/10

Victor Lindelof – Not ideal. Didn’t keep in a defensive line with his teammates on more than one occasion. Weak in the tackle. 3/10

Phil Jones – Was physically struggling after 30 minutes following so long without playing. Probably United’s best defender on the day. 4/10

Harry Maguire – Same old, same old. Poor defensively, poor positionally and fired a ball at Hannibal which led to the third goal. Just not setting the captain’s example. 2/10

Diogo Dalot – Started at left-back. That experiment just did not work. 3/10

Nemanja Matic – Was far too easily beaten every single time Liverpool players were running at him. 3/10

Paul Pogba – Subbed off with seven minutes on the clock. Is he actually injured or couldn’t he be bothered? I guess the fact that we’re genuinely asking that question tells us all we need to know. 3/10

Anthony Elanga – Had a quiet afternoon. Didn’t really get on the ball anywhere near enough. 3/10

Marcus Rashford – See Elanga above. 3/10

Bruno Fernandes – Started as a false nine. Gave the ball away too cheaply. Not good enough. 3/10

Subs:

Jesse Lingard – Didn’t really see much of the ball.

Jadon Sancho – Comfortably looked like United’s best player.

Hannibal Mejbri – At least he showed a bit of fight.
