MUFC Player Ratings during 4-1 loss vs Man City (Premier League away, 2021/22)

David de Gea – Made one or two decent saves but couldn’t really do anything about the goals conceded. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Truly woeful. Couldn’t deal with anything coming down his side and got worse as the game wore on. 2/10

Victor Lindelof – Caught ball watching on more than one occasion. Not good enough. 4/10

Harry Maguire – Didn’t set the captain’s example. Made way too many mistakes. Awful. 2/10

Alex Telles – A non-factor in attack and caught out of position defensively far too often. 4/10

Scott McTominay – Did his job as well as he could have in the circumstances. Was given no time and space on the ball. 4/10

Fred – Had a good chance to score but squandered it. Had a similar outing to McTominay. 4/10

Paul Pogba – Quiet but picked up an assist. It felt like a weird decision to sub him off, though. 4/10

Anthony Elanga – Looked a little rushed on flustered with the ball at his feet. 4/10

Jadon Sancho – Probably United’s best on the day. Took his goal wonderfully well. Probably should have had another. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – Overhit a few too many important passes for my liking. Wasn’t involved anywhere near enough. 4/10

Subs:

Jesse Lingard – Didn’t get into it.

Marcus Rashford – Had one half-chance but just ran into defenders…
