MUFC Player Ratings during 5-0 loss vs Liverpool (Premier League home, 2021/22)

David de Gea – Felt sorry for him. Made one or two decent saves but couldn’t do anything about the Liverpool onslaught. 4/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Was a non-factor in an attacking sense. Defended dreadfully, particularly for the Liverpool opener. 3/10

Victor Lindelof – United’s best defender on the day? Probably, though the bar was incredibly low. 3/10

Harry Maguire – Just dreadful. Caught out of position way too often. Didn’t set a captain’s example. Looked lost at times. 1/10

Luke Shaw – Didn’t want to defend. Shirked every tackle. Couldn’t get close to any Liverpool attackers. As bad as he’s ever played. 1/10

Scott McTominay – Didn’t protect the back four. Was just as poor positionally as the lads behind him. 3/10

Fred – Covered every blade of grass as per usual, but the passing was typically sloppy. 3/10

Bruno Fernandes – Uncharacteristically quiet. Had a glorious chance to make it 1-0 in the early going. 3/10

Mason Greenwood – His most ineffective performance of the term. Just couldn’t get going. 3/10

Marcus Rashford – Made some good runs forward but that was about it. 3/10

Subs:

Paul Pogba – Gave away a goal then got sent off.

Edinson Cavani – Was sat way too deep due to us playing with ten men. Hit the bar from about a yard out.

Diogo Dalot – Didn’t get into it.
