Although his United future is currently up in the air amid speculation of a move to Monaco, the Portugal winger seems committed to the cause at Old Trafford. The 26-year old has recently been out injured, but made his comeback against Crewe on Monday night scoring two excellent goals.
For me, Nani has a great chance to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI under David Moyes as none of our wingers really performed last season. If he can string together a few good games, he could play himself into regular action.
“I’d played two [behind-closed-doors] friendly games already and am preparing well in myself. I hope, when the season starts, I will be at my best to help the team. I think there’s still a lot of work [to do] but, in one more week, then I will be at my best.”
“I hope to win the league again and, for my personal wishes, I want to be at my best and score a lot of goals. Like I said, I just need to be at my best and then everything will come together.”
The sell-on fee being mentioned is somewhere around the £10-12million mark, which is nowhere near enough his true value if you ask me. It’d cost at least double that to bring in a quality replacement so it makes sense to keep him.
