Manchester United could finally be about to sell Victor Valdes, after spending the summer trying to get rid of the experienced Spaniard. The former Spain #1 had a fall out with Louis van Gaal, and has since been exiled from the first-team squad.
According to the Daily Star, Steve McLaren is going to attempt to take him off Manchester United when the January transfer window opens – ending his Old Trafford hell, and offering him the chance to play first-team football due to Tim Krul’s injury.
This could be a good move for Valdes. He’ll regain match fitness in a team that have the ability to be a top half side, but the worry for him will be when Tim Krul returns, he could well find himself occupying the bench once more.
Its a chance he has to take though, at the end of the day he’s fortunate to have any club at all so its worth the risk.
