Man United are ready to tie Noam Emeran down to a new contract.

For all their faults at the first-team level over the last decade or so, Manchester United’s youngsters have been playing well and developing nicely.

The more I think about United moving away from giving kids a chance, the more frustrated I become. This club has turned into one of those that splash the cash on big-name players, then worrying about where to fit them in later. The sooner the Red Devils re-adopt old strategies, the better it’ll be for all involved.

One man who is proving to be someone to keep an eye on in future is Noam Emeran. The winger, born in France, has been at United since 2019 and is developing nicely.

So-much-so that according to Jonathan Shrager, the talented 19-year-old will be handed a new contract by United. That deal will be signed before the end of April.

You’d imagine this will be on professional terms, with United placing a real show of faith in the starlet who has played ten PL2 games this season, scoring one and assisting another.

Emeran, who is of Rwandan descent, will be hoping to prove his worth at the first-team level in the not too distant future. Perhaps he’ll get that chance over the summer during our pre-season tour of Australia and Thailand.

Again, it’s always tough to work out exactly how quickly young players like Emeran will develop, but the ability is blatantly there. It may take a few months, it may take a few years, but United can afford to be patient with Emeran – allowing him to develop at his own pace.

At the very least, this gives Emeran some security about his short-term future, meaning he can focus solely on his football. You’d much rather that than worrying about whether he’s going to get another opportunity to prove his worth at Manchester United.
