Manchester United Football Club pulled off something heroic in the last round. Overcoming a 2-0 deficit to Paris Saint-Germain was never going to be easy, but what a brilliant night it was.
Their reward? A two-legged tie against FC Barcelona in the last eight. The draw was made earlier today, with United confirming the dates via their social media page shortly after.
What a brilliant night this will be at Old Trafford. Welcoming the best player in the world to our stadium, getting to see the little genius play in the flesh for what could well be the final time for many.
Whoever we drew, it was always going to be tough. United simply have to take a lead back to the Camp Nou, make no mistake about that. The game itself will be filled with intrigue, and what an opportunity it is to test yourself against the very best.
Old Trafford will no doubt be rocking. It’s going to be one of those special Champions League nights in Manchester, and I for one simply cannot wait.
The first leg will be played on either Tuesday 9th or Wednesday 10th of April, with the return tie following it the week later.
