Manchester United’s new era has begun, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to kick things off with an all-important victory away at Cardiff City.

I think it’s fair to say that this is the most excited I’ve been for a United match this season, and finally, we have something to look towards.

It looks as though Solskjaer is keen to help United rediscover their identity, too, as according to the Manchester Evening News, both Angel Gomes and James Garner have been included in the Red Devils’ travelling squad for the match tomorrow evening.

Stuff like this is just great. He’s only been in the job for a few days and Ole Gunnar is already handing youth a chance. With this being his first game, who knows what the team line-up will look like, but you can bet your bottom dollar there is every chance that the young duo may well play if Solskjaer sees fit.

I’d love to see some Gomes, in particular. He made his debut in the final Premier League game of Mourinho’s debut season, but we’ve hardly heard from him since. He hasn’t just lost his talent overnight, and this would be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the youngster into some action.

As for Garner, he has hugely impressed under Nicky Butt at youth level this term, and after being included in the squad against Valencia, he’ll be hoping to make his United debut in Wales.
