Manchester United looked superb during the last 20 minutes against Crystal Palace, with Jose Mourinho’s men coming from 2-0 down to win the game 3-2.
However, all isn’t rosy at Old Trafford, with Alexis Sanchez’s slump in form continuing, with what was probably his worst performance in Red Devils colours.
In a feature, The Sun says that the Chile international lost possession a huge 34 times during the 90-minute match, which is hugely concerning. That averages out at giving the ball away 34% of the time, and although his position and style of play is a risky one, carelessness like that just isn’t acceptable.
Sure, it may take him some time to adapt to Mourinho’s style of play, while also getting used to the way his teammates perform. Sometimes I get the impression that he’s just trying too hard, but I fully expect him to come good eventually.
Perhaps it may do him some good to stick him on the bench against Liverpool at the weekend. It’ll reignite that fire and hunger in his belly while giving him that drive and desire to prove everyone wrong. The panic alarms aren’t sounding just yet, but they’re certainly getting a little louder, there’s no doubt about that.
