Manchester United Football Club are on the up under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Now, the Baby Faced Assassin could well be about to make his first major transfer.
That’s according to The Sun, who in an exclusive, says that United could allow the out-of-favour Antonio Valencia to leave Old Trafford this January.
Apparently, both Newcastle United and Fulham are keen on the right-back from Ecuador; who’s contract runs out this summer.
Due to the fact that his current deal is winding down, United could possibly lose him for free this summer, but at this point, it just seems as though the Red Devils want him off the books.
After losing his place in the team to Ashley Young, Valencia has massively fallen down the pecking order. Right now, he’s behind the aforementioned Young, Diogo Dalot and even Matteo Darmian. Aged 33, the best thing for his career is to move on and obtain regular playing time elsewhere.
With all that said, Valencia has been a wonderful servant to this club, but five Premier League appearances this season just isn’t going to be enough for him, which leads me to believe that he will leave over the next few days…
