Matteo Darmian agrees to move away: report

Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian looks all set to end his frustrating spell at Old Trafford.

That’s what Turin-based media outlet Tuttosport say, translated by the Daily Mail. They reckon that the 28-year-old, who has fallen out-of-favour under Jose Mourinho, is all set to move to Juventus when the transfer window opens.

Apparently, a verbal agreement has already been reached between player and club, but how? and why?!

Juventus are an elite European club, Darmian has been nothing but a below-average player for Manchester United. However, the fact that they want him, and they’re presumably willing to pay actual money for him is only a good thing for the Red Devils.

Negotiations will now continue between United and Juve, and you’d imagine it probably won’t take too long for them to come to some sort of agreement.

I hate the term ‘I’ll drive him there myself’ but in this case I’d genuinely head down to Dover, jump on a ferry and take him back home to Italy. That’s how forgettable his time as a United player has been. With that said, I’m sure he’ll suit the Italian style of play pretty well and go on to achieve great success in Turin; provided the deal happens, of course.
