Paul Pogba ‘one step away’ from Juventus return

Paul Pogba is seemingly closing in on a move back to Juventus this summer.

The mass overhaul at Manchester United is well underway. A handful of players have already confirmed their departures on a free transfer this summer, saving the club a bucketload of money where weekly wages are concerned.

As fans of the club often do, we tend to watch on with a keen interest to see where these players end up. Some moves are pretty predictable, though Paul Pogba was always going to have plenty of offers on the table.

Although it didn’t work out for him here, Pogba the personality will always attract interest – though not many clubs can afford to pay his massive wages.

Well, Goal Italia seems to have the jump on where Pogba will be plying his trade next season. They believe he’ll be heading back to Turin.

The United star is ‘one step away’, from leaving United to return to another one of his old sides; Juventus.

Pogba, like me, is a creature of habit. The Frenchman played the best football of his domestic career for the Serie A club and no doubt he’s looking to rediscover that form when he goes back to Italy.

Personally, I always thought Pogba would either end up at Juventus or Paris Saint-Germain. Whether either club was interested enough to make a contract offer to the World Cup winner remains to be seen, of course.

Either way, I wish Pogba luck. It didn’t work out for him here for a variety of reasons. That doesn’t take anything away from his ability or skill. Sadly, the fit just wasn’t quite right.

Sure, it’ll sting to see him tearing it up over in Italy, but that’s just the nature of the sport.

Are you glad Paul Pogba has left the club? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
