Paul Pogba is now in Manchester, and it feels as though an announcement regarding the midfielder rejoining Manchester United is extremely close to happening. The world record move edged a little closer this afternoon, with the 23-year-old passing his medical.
That’s according to The Guardian newspaper, who add that Pogba will be Jose Mourinho’s final business of the summer. Showing just how expertly our new manager has acted in getting deals done quickly, and not rushing around on transfer deadline day.
It really has been a hugely successful window in terms of incomings, and huge credit has to go to Edward Woodward for that. Mourinho identified those targets, but our Vice-Chairman has gone about pushing the deals over the line in a quick, and excellent manner.
Now this is where the real stuff starts. Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign away at Bournemouth on Sunday, and a win in the opener would be an ideal start for Jose and his new set of players.
