Manchester United Football Club have been hit-and-miss in Paul Pogba’s absence. Heck, I guess losing a player of his calibre for any prolonged period of time was always going to make things difficult.
Over the summer, the Frenchman made it public knowledge that he wanted to depart from Old Trafford. Well, it seems that’s still his plan…
The story comes from Goal, who state that the star 26-year-old still wants an exit from Man United. However, Pogba is likely to remain at Old Trafford until at least the end of the season – with United not considering a winter sale.
For now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains keen to reintroduce the Frenchman back into the starting XI upon his return from an ankle injury.
Apparently, there is no indication that Pogba is malingering, nor has his conduct upset the applecart at Old Trafford. However, pictures of the Frenchman playing basketball in the USA certainly don’t look good.
He’s always done his own thing, without any real care of how it reflects on him or United. He’ll never change in that regard.
There’s no denying Pogba’s talent and ability. He’s a quality player on his day, the problem is inconsistency. When you pay £90million for a premium, world-renowned player, I think us United fans are well within our rights to expect better.
I mean, we hardly missed him against Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur, did we…? If the fee is right then I’d look to cash in and re-invest that money into the playing squad.
