Paul Pogba to make fresh attempt to quit Man United in January: report

Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse, a new problem comes to the fore for Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

At this point, it feels like it’s common knowledge that Paul Pogba wanted to leave Old Trafford over the summer. To his credit, though, the Frenchman didn’t kick up a fuss. Instead, he’s worked hard and tried to have a positive influence in games.

However, he’s seemingly still unhappy. According to The Sun, Pogba will make a fresh effort to try and leave Old Trafford in January, with the United star ‘more desperate than ever’ to get away from United…

Pogba made his return from injury during the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup penalty shootout victory at home to Rochdale on Wednesday night, but his absence was dearly felt in the two games prior.

The Frenchman is the heartbeat of that United midfield whether we like him as a player or not – and losing him, permanently, particularly in the mid-season window would be a huge blow to our top four hopes.

I think it’s fair to say United fans have a right to feel aggrieved with Pogba’s performances, while the player also has reason to be unhappy in Manchester. If the fee is right, I personally believe the 26-year-old will leave next summer because I think he’s already made his mind up in his head…
