Saidy Janko signed for United in the summer, as he made his move from FC Zurich to the Premier League champions. The Swiss youngster is naturally a right-back, but has often featured as a right-winger for United’s U21s throughout the season, putting in some excellent performances in that time.
Janko, 18, has left an impression on United legend Paul Scholes, and the ginger magician is expecting big things from the rapidly developing right-back.
Scholes told Inside United:
“Saidy has been fantastic since he came in and looks a bright prospect for the future,” Scholes told Inside United.
“Hopefully he’s on his way to the first team.”
Janko could be the successor to Antonio Valencia on that right-wing, or could even provide cover to Rafael as early as next season. Whilst watching him play for the U21s his game seems to be developing all the time, and is swiftly becoming one of the hottest prospects at Manchester United.
