Manchester United need a big final week or so in the transfer market if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a chance at delivering silverware to Old Trafford next season.
Things are now starting to hot up, though, with the usually reliable Fabrizio Romano giving us an update on a potential move for Paulo Dybala…
Yesterday evening, Romano took to Twitter to state the agent of the 25-year-old is now in England to start talks with United about personal terms. Furthermore, Juventus are waiting on Dybala’s final decision about his future, with the player wanting to stay while the Red Devils are trying to ‘push’.
Earlier in the week, we covered a story from Sky Sports in which it was claimed that Juve was trying to use Dybala in a potential swap deal for Romelu Lukaku.
I think I’m in the majority when I say that this would be a cracking deal for the Red Devils should Edward Woodward pull it off, but right now it feels like there’s still a lot of work to be done.
Swapping an out-of-favour Lukaku for a star like Dybala would be an absolute masterstroke, though the Argentine will need some convincing, particularly with no Champions League football on the table…
