Man United have been given the opportunity to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves.

Erik ten Hag’s pursuit of Ajax winger Antony has been well documented. It makes sense that the Dutchman wants to acquire players he is familiar with. Though that pursuit looks like it’s going to come up short.

Manchester United have looked far and wide for alternatives. One name that has been linked is Wolves winger, Pedro Neto. The man from Portgual has been pretty solid for the Midlands outfit, though he may well be up for sale this summer.

Presumably, it’s because Wolves have spent big on bolstering their squad. Seemingly, they need to sell off a high value asset as a way of balancing their books. It looks like Neto’s head is on the chopping block.

It’s talkSPORT with the claim, who yesterday stated that United have ‘been offered’ the chance to sign the 22-year-old this summer. In terms of transfer fee, Wolves are ‘demanding’ around £50m to let the wide man leave.

As things stand, it looks as though Arsenal are leading the chase, with Mikel Arteta’s man hoping to acquire Neto. Though a United move cannot be ruled out.

Obviously, United are still supremely thin in terms of numbers out wide. That has to change before the transfer window slams shut in ten days’ time.

Neto is someone who could come in and do a job from day one due to his Premier League experience. He’s already well acquitted to playing in this country, while the Portuguese star also has a full pre-season under his belt.

I would be a fan of this signing, though Wolves’ asking price feels a little bit high in our opinion. If I were signing any Wolves player this summer, I’d absolutely look at Ruben Neves first.
