Pedro says goodbyes to FC Barcelona teammates as Man Utd move looms

Manchester United could be close to another big name signing this summer, as Pedro Rodriguez looks to have played his last competitive game for FC Barcelona, and according to El Confidencial, the 29-year old has already said his goodbye to his teammates.

Pedro started last nights Super Cup on the bench, before coming on and scoring a 115th minute winner in Barca’s 5-4 victory over Sevilla. However he was clearly unhappy at not starting the game, despite Neymar being out injured.

If Manchester United bid €30million and meet his release clause, there is no doubt that the deal will be done rather quickly, so its now up to the club to get the ball rolling and make an official approach for the talented Spaniard.

He’d be the perfect replacement for Angel di Maria, and his versatility is a huge bonus, particularly to Louis van Gaal who likes his players to be able to offer something in multiple positions.
