Personal terms agreed as Manchester United set to complete first bit of January business

Manchester United Football Club could be about to sign off on their first transfer deal of the January window, despite the fact that we’re well away from the turn of the year. The man in question is Matteo Darmian, who looks set to be our first major piece of outgoing transfer business.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say the Italian right-back has fallen out of favour at the Theatre of Dreams. The publication say that Inter Milan have agreed personal terms on a deal that’ll see Darmian move back to his homeland, and the San Siro.

It’s a real shame, to be honest. Darmian had an excellent first couple of months at Manchester United and looked like he could nail down that right-back spot for years to come. However, that just did not happen and his performances just seem to get worse and worse which was disappointing.

Now he is behind Antonio Valencia and Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the pecking order, and you do feel that duo will take some displacing from Jose Mourinho’s plans going forward.
