Personal terms with Jadon Sancho mostly agreed, no official bid yet: report

Man United have almost sorted out personal terms with Jadon Sancho, though no official bid has been made yet.

As we all know, Jadon Sancho has been Manchester United’s top target for what feels like three years.

Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came to Old Trafford, the Reds have been pushing hard to sign the Englishman from Borussia Dortmund. The general feeling is that this summer, Sancho will be leaving the Westfalonstadion, with United seemingly in pole position.

Journalist Patrick Berger has another update for us over the last 24 hours, claiming that personal terms between the player and United are ‘mostly agreed’ due to the fact the parties were in close contact last summer.

However, as of right now, there has been no official bid made for the player, with Dortmund looking for around £77m (€90m) to let the Englishman depart. What’s interesting is that the players ‘environment’ expect him to leave this summer.

I know that right-wing probably isn’t United’s biggest need at this point, but it goes without saying, Sancho would be an unbelievable signing. This is a young man with the footballing world at his feet and if we could add him to our current attacking options, we’d be in excellent shape.

My only worry is that it’s a lot of money for one player, particularly when money will be tight due to the fact that we’re still in a global pandemic. Sometimes, though, you have to suck it up and pay whatever it takes to sign players like Sancho as this opportunity doesn’t come around very often.

Hopefully, we can get this Sancho deal sorted pretty quickly, allowing Ed Woodward as much time as possible to focus on other targets. Right now, we’re still absolutely desperate for a top-class centre-half and another midfielder.
